I have heard, anecdotally, that the word "Moyamensing" was a more-or-less arbitrarily-chosen word in the Lenape language that turned out to mean something like "turtle shit" or "pigeon shit". Obviously this doesn't belong in the article unless and until it can be corroborated.Spikebrennan20:07, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I read the same thing, but I don't know where, "pigeon droppings" to be polite.
